Am I ovulating?
When am I ovulating?
What day of my cycle am I ovulating on?
Do I have a stress cycle effecting my ovulation?
How can I support my ovulation? Now let me tell you that when your ovulation peaks and follows roughly 11-14 days later with a menstrual bleed. Every 6 months I visit my doctor for a regular hor Every 6 months I visit my doctor for a regular hormone and blood test check up. I've been doing this for around 8 years now every 6 months and boy-o-boy it gives you a great overview of your health over a period of time. The last time I had my bloods done I was pregnant, I’d recently had a kidney infection and was living through a lot of trauma. This month marks 5 months since my pregnancy termination and I'm feeling it's time to check in with what's going on inside... I truly believe for long term health and a healthy ongoing menstrual cycle (and all of it's glorious transitions) is getting your bloods tested regularly (this includes hormone testing). When was the last time you had your blood tested?🩸🩺 Often we think of only getting blood tests done when something is 'wrong' or when we're feeling 'off' in our health or cycle health. However what if we knew what our hormones were saying on a regular basis?
Not just when we feel there is something ‘off’ or ‘niggling’ us with our health our cycles.
(I also note that different places and countries around the world have different abilities for regular blood tests and check ups) 2 questions that are most often asked...
Is hormone testing really that important? And what type of testing should I get? Over inside the my Cyclical Membership, the #WellWomanAcademy we have an entire class about this exact topic and a list of things to ask for when it comes to getting tests done. (Link in bio to access the WWA) But why?
Can blood and hormone testing actually help?  Here’s how getting my hormones tested has helped me;
🩸Identify early PCOS before it exaggerated
🩸Recognise when I'm low in particular nutrients
🩸Get an insight on my liver and thyroid function
🩸Identify where my iron levels are (especially helpful when I was a vegan)
🩸Gain a deeper understanding of my body and it's health
What are your hormones telling you? #hormonebalance
