I’m currently sitting in Kuala Lumpur Airport on my way to a 2 week #Ayurveda retreat in India. A place I’ve wanted to visit for the last 8 years. Safe to say my excitement bubble is 😆🤩😁🤗
.
After wrapping up a month of daily cycle updates (now in highlights), completing our first full month in the #WellWomanAcademy and reflecting on what has been an overly abundant year I can confidently say I’m ready for this almost 6 week holiday.
.
It’s so easy to forget to give yourself a pat on the back in the “achieve more” “want more” world we live in, Something that’s oh so easy to get stuck doing, yep I do it too.
.
2019 so far...
✔️Trekked and camped my way through Central Australia.
✔️Launched a podcast, #WellWomanPodcast
✔️Released 40 episodes
✔️Transformed and deepened my yoga practice
✔️Solo visited Indonesia for 2 weeks
✔️Personally broke endless vulnerability boundaries
✔️Solo road tripped through South West USA
✔️Launched an Academy
✔️Sold my car of 17 years
✔️Completed 2 certifications
✔️Launched a new event series
✔️Built a veggie garden
✔️Met some fricken amazing people
.
and for the first time in over 7 years I’m taking complete downtime at @sitarambeachretreat for 2 weeks in India. .
Reflecting back over this year so far a part of me feels exhausted, another feels proud and another feels a tad crazy.
.
So it’s time!
To turn off the phone, disconnect and restore. BUT, I have some things for you...

Often within our cycle many things happen and occur for specific philological reasons. But it’s not until we set aside the ego, the heightened emotion and educate ourselves on our cycle that we truly become aware of “why do I feel the way that I do.”
This removes guilt, fear, frustration and anxiousness in many aspects of your life. (clients words, not mine)

Hi, I’m Jema.
I choose surf zinc over make up,
or no make up at all.
A long time ago I declared to myself to always turn up here in this space natural, raw and real.
Often that means in my daggy clothes, unbrushed hair and just as me. I do this to demonstrate and encourage you to do the same.

I prefer plants over animals,
Yoga is my jam,
But I’d rather nut butter over jam anyday.
I’ve self healed #LeakyGut and #PCOS after coming off the pill after 12 years 😳 (I know).
My mission is to end period tabooness,
become a period comedian (kidding, my clients say that’s my next career path),
show you how friggen amazing your body as a woman is.
help challenge you on what’s “normal” to experience throughout your cycle,
end #PMSing,
and period shaming.

However deep down in my heart ♥️ is not to just share this with you, but so that you, I, we can better educate and support our younger generations of females whom are yet to embark on their menses journey. .

It goes hand in hand worth surrender.
In fact both of these things can be scary as F.
.
Think about it, surrendering into moments is not easily done, nor is allowing.
Heck even allowing someone to complement you.
Allowing yourself to not go to the gym and surrendering into bed as your body craves rest.
.
It’s easy to say... but to do, well that’s another story all together.
Like here, this video was taken just this past weekend with a to-do list the size of santa’s to do list, emails out my ears, dozens of messages to reply to, Inner Autumn kicking in and that’s just the start... I could of pushed through. I could of - but I didn’t.
.
An opportunity came up last minute (rather universal timing actually), like a big post-it note had been slapped on my forehand from the universe reading: “take rest”
.
So in non Jema fashion I said yes, and surrendered.
Was it easy, no!
Was it what my body and I needed - yes!
.
.
Take this as a message from the universe for you to STOP, surrender and allow!
The list can wait.
