Having seen an acupuncturist for a number of years and exploring herbs myself also through Ayurveda I knew it was time to learn more about how we can use these ancient herbal ways to support our modern bodies and lifestyles. In this Episode I’m joined by my acupuncturist and friend Jess Hewett, together we explore Chinese herbs and the ones we all could start incorporating into our daily lives and health.
Meet our Podcast Guest:
[Day 13 – Inner Spring]
Jess Hewett is a registered Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine Practitioner. Jess has always had a passion and interest in fertility and women’s health. She has developed her skills and understanding in these areas by taking on postgraduate education as well as attending numerous workshops to further expand her knowledge and modalities in the area of women’s health and fertility. In 2016 her clinic Nuwa Natural Health was birthed and it is here where all the magic happens. Treatments at the clinic combine Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, Herbs, Massage and Womb Healing practices to assist and support women on their healing journey as well as providing them with a more in depth understanding of their body’s biography.
Nuwa’s sister business Attuned Herbals was created earlier this year with fellow Acupucnturist Bonnie Bird. Attuned herbals focuses on educating our community about herbal medicine and seasonal living to create harmony and balance in our bodies and our lives.
In this episode we chat about:
- The eastern medicines approach to balancing your health
- The different modalities Chinese medicine
- The importance of our Yin and Yang balance
- The 3 key organs for menstrual health
- How Chinese medicine herbs support menstrual cycles
- Daily herbs that support harmonising hormones
