How your health can effect your relationship and sex life

Can health effect your relationship and sex life?

We all know that going Gluten can highly affect our mood and brain function, yes. Well today our resident ‘Love’ guru Rosie Rees, discusses with us ‘How having an unbalanced health reign can possibly affect your relationship and sex life?’

Come on be honest with me who doesn’t want to improve their relationships and sex life?  I can pretty guarantee NO one would not want to!

How your health can effect your relationship and sex life

An unbalanced diet, nonexistent exercise regime and lack of ‘me-time’ tremendously affects your love life. It not only affects your intimate relationship and sex drive, it seriously influences your own self-love & self-respect, which in turn impacts everything in your life. If you are feeding yourself crap food, not breaking a sweat daily or spending any time meditating or having quality time to yourself, there is no way you can feel good about yourself. The reason is simple: When you feel confident in your own skin and feel good on the inside – mind and body – you are more likely to naturally ooze confidence in (and out) of the bedroom.

My body is so attuned to exercising regularly and eating well, that when I eat junk food and don’t work out, it seriously affects me physically, mentally and emotionally, which in turns affects whether or not I crave sex. And we all know that when you are happy, your partner is happy and your relationship prospers and thrives (happy wife, happy life). From discussions with the male clients I work with and men I socilaise with, it is clear they gain a lot of fulfilment and satisfaction in seeing and making their partner happy. Men would move mountains to make their other half smile and laugh and be happy! Some even support unhealthy habits (smoking, gambling, drinking etc) because they think that’s what makes them happy.

My point is…by maintaining a healthy balanced diet, a daily exercise regime and plenty of meditation/me-time, you will release more natural endorphins, therefore increasing confidence, hence increasing your sex drive. When I am healthy, I am happy, my man is happy and we have a great sex life! Win, win, win!

Top 3 Tips for maintaining health and keeping the passion in your life?

1. Sweat once a day! I walk or run at least 6km a day to and from work, practice yoga at least once a day (self practice in my bedroom, teaching a class, or partaking in a class), I also go to a Personal Trainer once a week to build muscle tone and strengthen my body and bones. The less you move, the less you want to move. The more you move, the more you want to move. Start with baby steps and move your body daily to promote a healthy mind state. Your body is a temple.

2. Have. More. Sex. Whether you are single or in a relationship, I encourage you to orgasm as much as possible. Research has shown that even if you have sex when you’re not in the mood, your mood increases dramatically the following day (or day of if you shag in the morning). If your single, you know what to do.

3. Challenge yourself. Set targets and goals for yourself and achieve them. At the start of this year, I wrote down a list of things I wanted to achieve. I wanted to run a Half Marathon, publish a documentary of my India trip, publish an e-book The Manifestation Method, hold a Sacred Feminine Yoga workshop/couples yoga, create a beautiful space in my home/temple, buy a car, and save a certain amount of $$. I have ticked off that entire list!! So it just goes to show, if you write it down and are serious about achieving it, you will manifest it.  I am always aspiring to learn more, grow more and commit more to my full potential. The only way of doing this is to put yourself out of your comfort zone and take risks – uncertainty is the spice of life!

Who found this interesting?  Who would now go and improve their health to improve their relationships?  Making your comments below Rosie and I would love to here from you.
