Pre conception care isn’t just for conception in fact it’s for both caring for and having a healthy cycle, which is for everyone. And that’s exactly what pre conception care is; having a healthy body and cycle ready for potential conception, whenever that may be.
If you’re consider fertility in the future (no matter how far away) this is the episode for you. Meet Our Podcast Guest:
[Cycle Day 20 – Inner Autumn]
A qualified nutritionist, holding a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutritional and Dietetic Medicine). Her role is to help you reach your health goals by assessing your diet and lifestyle and working with you to address any issues we identify.
Being nourished is about more than just what you put on your plate. She looks not only at what you eat, but how you eat and how you live, and help optimise your health.
Prior to studying nutrition, she was a stressed-out corporate lawyer, struggling with disordered eating. I was confused by the mixed messages about food and diets constantly thrown about in popular media. I chose to change my life and study nutrition so I could cut through the rubbish and learn how to really eat well.
Her journey into specialising in women’s health and fertility has been very much influenced by her own experience with infertility. She struggled with disordered eating and experienced extended hypothalamic amenorrhea after coming off the Pill, eventually going through ovulation induction and IVF. She truly understands and empathises with the impact that infertility can have. She’s very, very blessed to now be a mother to identical twin boys. As a very busy mum, you can trust her when she says her approach to nutrition is practical, realistic and can adapt to your lifestyle.
