As most of you would know I’ve just returned from a 3 week Healthy Bali Holiday Adventure. The main reason for my trip was to be beside my best friend as she married the love of her life overlooking a beautiful Uluwatu cliff face. But that wasn’t enough for me I wanted to make the most of my Bali experience and as some may say ‘get in touch with my inner yogi’.
Whilst over in Bali I found an amazing location in Ubud, which was conducting a Cleanse program. So last minute and very spontaneously as I always do, I booked in for a personal 6 Day Cleanse Detox. There will be a post later this week about my Cleanse Detox, so you can find out the in’s and out’s about that there.
So what else did I get up to in Bali?
After the beautiful wedding, I spent the next 3 days exploring and relaxing around beautiful Uluwatu. There’s not much to do in Uluwatu but surf and soak up the sun, however I managed to find some other things to occupy my time; Sunset seafood feast at Jimbaran Bay, Reef exploring, Poolside reading and sun bathing just to mention a few.
After leaving Uluwatu I headed north to Canngu (north of Seminyak) where I stayed with some lovely new friends that I’d made in Uluwatu. Canngu was a nice change from the hustle and bustle of the rest of Bali’s tourist scene. Canngu is a little local surfing town filled with beautiful villa’s, Aussie expats, small amazing local restaurants, fantastic beachside sunsets, clean air and lots of rice paddy fields. Not only this, but it was in Canngu that I discovered Jamu. Jamu is a traditional Balinese bright orange juice packed with natural herbs and lots of turmeric. The Balinese claim that Jamu keeps your health worries away. SO YUMMY, I couldn’t get enough of it!
After saying goodbye to Canngu and my new friends I made my way to Ubud to start my 6 Day Cleanse Detox. Juices, Yoga, Meditation, Colonics and Enema’s … I came out of this experience glowing and beaming with inspiration to share and help others to accomplish their own goals to shine and beam as bright as bright can be.
Hands down completing my cleanse was one of the best experiences I’ve had to date on my journey to wellness. On leaving Ubud I decided to spend my last 3 days in Bali bliss on a beautiful reef and seaweed farming island; Nusa Lembongan. My time on the island gave me great space to reflect on what I have done to date and to embrace what the future holds before me.
Returning home feeling fantastic and totally inspired I am looking to putting together some mini online Coaching and Cleanse programs as well as future Retreats. If would like to be a part of these? I would so appreciate your comments and any questions below.

So, I have heard a bit about these but was it scary going in? How did you feel afterwards and how did it feel as opposed to say after a juice cleanse? Similar feeling of detoxification or different?
Hi Kate. Thanks for your comment!
I didn’t consider it scary at all, I was immersed in my cleanse at the time and I knew a Colonic would only amplify my cleanse and detoxification – and it did! A colonic during a juice cleanse is great as it totally flushes and cleans out the colon and any/all built up old poo that may be back up inside you. Totally different from just doing a juice cleanse which yes does make you feel fantastic – however a colonic just takes it to the next level and completely cleans out all of your toxins so you feel more energetic, lighter, healthier and on top of the world. That was my experience anyway. All in all Colonic’s sound scary but they are actually not, I had a gravity colonic which I would recommend. And no it’s not painful 🙂 Let me know how you go if you get one! x
