Having conversations with your children about menstruation and puberty can be confronting, however when it comes to guiding them with their first period it doesn’t have to be. After teaching menstrual cycle education in schools for the past 5+ years I’ve discovered the teens/tweens are actually very interested and intrigued with their bodily changes.
In this solo episode I guide you through how to have these conversations, why they’re important and how to begin them. I also share some tips on first period products and what I recommend starting with.

In this episode we chat about:
- Period products for teen/tweens
- What influences the timing of menarche
- How to talk about periods with girls
- Period positive role-modeling
- Signs that your first period is arriving soon
- What we need for a healthy first period
- Period Support for teens

Nutrition is an essential part of puberty and a healthy transition to menarche and menstruation. Here is the tween/teen Multivitamin that I recommend to my clients.
Additionally a supportive nutritional product at this time for menstruates is Magnesium for teens/tweens. I recommend this chewable magnesium version, or alternative a magnesium tablet version.
