(Subscribe on iTunesSpotify, StitcherSoundCloud or TuneIn) How would you describe your relationship with food? Food serves to fuel us, but so many of us restrict ourselves too much which ultimately has a negative effect on our body and our menstrual cycle. Who better to join me on this episode than Lindsey Lusson, who has personal experience losing her period due to a disordered relationship with food and exercise. Lindsey did not have a natural period for over a decade and when she and her husband wanted to start a family, she struggled to get pregnant. After discovering a book about Hypothalamic Amenorrhea, she stopped all exercise, increased her calories, and became pregnant in less than a month. Today, Lindsey helps support other women who struggle with HA and to heal their health, hormones, and fertility. Throughout this episode, Lindsey talks about her struggle with an eating disorder, how birth control impacted her natural menstrual cycle, healing a disordered relationship with food and exercise, tips for improving your nutrition, getting your menstrual cycle back on track, and so much more.

With over 15 years of studying nutrition and exercise, Lindsey has learned a lot about how under-eating can destroy your health and hormones.
