When you hear the words: “take a break” How do When you hear the words: “take a break”
How do you respond?
Naturally my vata personality says; pffft 🙄 I don’t need to take a break. And when that happens I clearly know, I NEED to take a break. The more and more I embrace a healthy it polarity between my feminine and masculine energies the more I find myself surrendering and allowing. It’s been 3 months since I took a big transitional journey with my #menstrualcycle (you can learn more about this in Episode 102 of my podcast). Since then life has been full.
I’ve kept myself creative with projects, friends, family, work events and more. Yet there’s only so long until you need to stop, drop and roll your way into downtime.
As of the moment of hitting share to this post the phones going on airplane mode as I board a ferry to the largest sand island in the world with the people I love the most (bar 2) to do nothing but live amongst the trees, bath in the ocean, eat from a camp kitchen, play games, laugh, relax, and enjoy nothing but SOS service. Between now and then, if you desperately miss me (I can see why that may happen 😂) take a listen to podcast episodes you’re yet to hear from the #WellWomanPodcast, download my free #LoveYourCycle tracker or come and join me inside the #WellWomanAcademy membership program. Today I spent 6 hours teaching the upcoming @essen Today I spent 6 hours teaching the upcoming @essenceofliving Yoga Teacher and Pilates Teacher trainers 👯‍♀️ how to not only support themselves and their own health, but how to support the health of their future students too. For the past 4.5 years I’ve been teaching the nutrition component to these teacher trainers for @michelle__cassidy and every time I’m reminded of many beautiful lessons. These students are everyday people, just like you and me.
Mothers, partners, students, grandmothers, husbands, career driven, business owners... yet we all have one major thing in common. We seek ultimate balance and harmony in our bodies. Today I was reminded just how much our minds and society can complicate our health and perception of what it takes to ‘be’ healthy. When ultimately if we take a leaf out of ancestral teachings, health is simple. These were my top 5 reminders and lessons from today; 1. Your bodies ONLY role is to protect you, put you first and thrive. 2. Health begins in a cellular level, back where it all began - the process of mitosis. 3. Your body is unique. What serves and doesn’t serve your body will be unique to you! ALWAYS. Stop trying to do what works for others and discover what works for you. 4. So many women (regardless of age) know very little about their menstrual cycles. This still both shocks and inspires me. So if this is you, you are not alone. 5. Whatever health challenge you’re experiencing, it’s not an issue - it’s a challenge. Changing how you think and speak about your health can create a big impact. Thanks for having me again @essenceofliving For those that missed it and would love to experience something like this with me check out my events via link in my bio and, my free stuff on my website: www.wellsome.com/shop you’ll find my daily principals to health there (audio class) and I highly recommend it. Also I LOVE this song, do you?

Know that feeling when you feel a moistness that’s seeped through your underwear 😳🩸 but you’re in public...
Mid yoga class
In the middle of a meeting
Picking your kids up from school
On a date Has this happened to you?
Literally this has happened to me so many times in the past where I’m like; F, I have to go to the toilet. Thinking I’ll be rolling myself a toilet paper pad and “psych” 👻 your cervix just play one hell of an April fools joke on you while you’re on a hot date...
Good one body, good one.
Cervix 1 💦
Jema 0 This happened to me the other day, I was in the middle of a hot date, with my sister (settle down!) and in the split second I noticed that not just my undies had become wet but so had my @lululemon tights I felt joy. Why? because I instantly knew my ovulation peak was on its way. You see cycle tracking is not just about knowing when your period is going to arrive - it’s about knowing the behaviour of your Yoni. And this beautiful, is body literacy! Learn to track your cycle for natural contraception inside the #WellWomanAcademy - your cycle coaching group membership that’ll transform your cycle. Join us for $24.99 AUD - Link in bio to learn more @wellsome_jemalee - also don’t forget to download the cycle tracker if you haven’t already 🩸💦 #cervix

“Everything about today was amazing, but I reall “Everything about today was amazing, but I really enjoyed learning how to live in sync with our cycles. This is so awakening to me and it’s a great way to build a deeper connection with myself.” Paula Aguina  Yesterday I hosted local to where I live my fav signature retreat day - Well Woman.  Together we chatted all things;
Endocrine system
Emotional body intelligence
Hormones
Cycle signs
Fertility
Chakras
Eating + moving with your cycle
Feminine + Masculine energy
Emotional eating
Activating our senses
And lots more! When I first discovered how to live cyclical I couldn’t wait to tell me clients about it, now I can’t wait to tell and teach the world about it. I feel so blessed to be supported in this work by you and these women who joined me in person, as well as those who joined us virtually live streaming. This is how we create change and make a cyclical ripple effect. Thank you! Huge shout out to @jadekrause_ for helping me all day as my off sister, @muri.nasraui and @patti.sebastiao for capturing the day, @megaburn_co and @thesourcegoldcoast for their goodie bag contributions. 🎙New Episode🎙 Hashimoto’s, have you heard 🎙New Episode🎙
Hashimoto’s, have you heard of it before? Similar to how often we hear #PCOS and Endometriosis mentioned in women’s health, hashimoto’s is also creeping in more and more. (Have you noticed this too?) Hashimoto’s is a thyroid imbalance and with the thyroid being the main controller of our body and menstrual cycle it can have a huge effect on our overall cycle health. From fertility to ovulation, menopause and don’t even get me started on the list of cycle signs (PMS). Hashimoto’s is a health challenge we could all better understand and learn from, particularly for overall healthy thyroids. To delve deeper into this topic and better understanding hashimoto’s I reached out to Dr. Donna from @drautoimmunegirl whom herself lives with hashimoto’s. Living with Hashimoto’s with Dr. Donna Mazzola : Episode 108 🎙 In this episode we chat about:
✨What is a Functional Medicine Pharmacist
✨Getting to the bottom of a diagnosis
✨What is Hashimoto’s…
✨How is Hashimoto’s different from hypothyroidism?
✨Gluten’s impact on your health
✨What to eat to support Hashimoto’s
✨Signs that you may have Hashimoto’s
✨What triggers Hashimoto’s disease?
✨How to manage chronic disease Inflammation contributing foods Find this episode and all episodes via your fav podcast app, as well as on @spotify @itunes and @soundcloud with all show notes to this episode at www.wellsome.com/podcast or via link in bio @wellsome_jemalee 💛
Adversity in action, a personal journey. For the Adversity in action,
a personal journey. For the past 5 years I’ve wanted to buy a van and create a space which I could adventure in. But more so I just wanted to create something that would challenge me, get my creative juices flowing and help me grow. After 3 years of back and forth van looking, and not having a car for 9 months I finally found the one. Herbie 🚐 in May 2020. In the midst of a global pandemic I brought a car in cash, a car that would end up being one of the things that helped me thrive (not survive) through 2020. Learning how to build, use tools, ask for help, articulate my ideas, navigate my way through Bunnings (🙄) and problem solve, has all helped keep me humble while finding me what through personal challenges. Last weekend (also on Inner Spring Day 12) I reached about 95% completion of this van project on Valentine’s Day ❤️ talk about aligning with love. As I placed the final cushion on my freshly made van bed I had tears of both joy and release streaming down my cheeks. Often when challenges arrive we look for coping mechanisms. Some turn to food, chocolate, chips, alcohol, gym, running away, distractions etc. while we all need support the method chosen for support can be the guidance to light and a tunnel to darkness.
But how does one choose such a thing when already in a moment of darkness. Herbie has been my coping mechanism. (don’t get me wrong though I’ve definitely eaten my fair share of chocolate) His brought me love, life and adventure all in one. I’m proud as punch to see what I had spent hours researching, drawing and creating come to life and now here we are. Almost complete. Swipe for some recent van adventures as well as a sneak peak at the new van bed. Thanks to everyone who’s been a part of the journey too, watch stories, sending messages. And of course to my dad, brothers, brother in law, sis and Dan. I’m forever grateful for your support. Final words, never give up on your dream - ever! ✨ (Ps. What do you think????) #vanlifeaustralia
