(Subscribe on iTunesSpotify, StitcherSoundCloud or TuneIn) Can we really retrain our brain? Is “period brain” real? Why does brain fog continue to show up in our lives? In this episode, I am excited to be joined by Lindsay Mitchell to dive deep into the topic of brain health and how it is connected to our menstrual cycle. After going through her own personal health struggles with Lyme disease, Lindsay discovered that brain health had more to do with her menstrual cycle and her physical symptoms then she could have ever realized. Today, Lindsay helps others on their healing journey of chronic illnesses and stress by retraining their brain and connecting deeper to their cycle. In this honest conversation, Lindsay talks about how our brain health impacts us as cyclical mammalian beings. You will learn how our body is impacted by living in a “Do More” culture, what the brain connection is with the menstrual cycle, how our body responds to trauma and stress, why she started Vital-Side, what “period brain” is, and walks us through actionable steps we can take to address symptoms of brain fog.

Meet Our Podcast Guest:

[Cycle Day 3 – Inner Winter] Lindsay Mitchell is the founder of Vital-Side, a membership program that empowers those with chronic illness and limbic system impairment to retrain their brain out of the chronic stress response so they can get relief from their symptoms and find freedom in their lives. Her training in medicine as a physician assistant, work as an NLP practitioner, and experience having recovered from Lyme disease makes her uniquely qualified to assist others in learning how to shift their response and experience positive changes to their symptoms.
